To mark its 21st anniversary, Huawei Malaysia launched a campaign to celebrate the people behind its innovation. Cerita Huawei #21derfulYears set out to shift perceptions beyond being seen as just a gadget brand, highlighting 21 inspiring employee stories that reflected the company’s values and human impact.
In order to bring the campaign to life, we developed a cohesive content ecosystem built on storytelling, bold visuals, and digital engagement.
From ideation to social content to a unifying key visual, every piece was designed to spotlight employees as the true force driving the brand forward. By weaving together real stories with vibrant design, the campaign not only amplified individual voices but also built an authentic, people-powered narrative.

The campaign was shaped around five guiding pillars:

Revealed the strength, passion, and drive among the employees.

Capturing 21 unique journeys that reflect Huawei’s diversity and the people behind its success.

Repositioning the brand from tech-focused to people-driven.
What We Did
In addition to content ideation, storytelling and campaign execution, we developed a key visual that served as the central creative anchor of the campaign. The visual identity not only reflected Huawei’s brand values, but also tied together the narratives into a cohesive and inspiring whole.
Concept
The idea centered on unfolding the “inner power” stories of Huawei’s people through bold, vibrant colour blocks inspired by the brand’s palettes. As a trailblazer in intelligent technology, the design communicated Huawei’s vision of building a better world. Despite working within grid constraints, the connected series of visuals symbolized collaboration, unity and shared progress.
