Video Specialist
Video Specialist
As a Video Specialist, you're more than just a camera operator or editor; you're a visual storyteller. You have a natural instinct for capturing moments that matter — framing shots with intention, cutting sequences that breathe, and crafting videos that make people feel something. Behind the lens or behind the timeline, you bring ideas to life with precision and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Production & Conceptualisation: Develop video concepts from brief to shoot plan — including location scouting, equipment preparation, shot lists, and talent direction. You don't just show up and press record; you think ahead.
- Videography: Capture high-quality footage using professional-grade cameras, lighting, and audio equipment. Whether it's a brand film, social content, or live activation coverage, you know how to get the shot.
- Video Editing & Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging final cuts that align with brand guidelines and client objectives. Apply creative transitions, visual effects, colour grading, and sound design to elevate the story.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team across projects and campaigns to ensure video content meets marketing objectives and brand standards. Your input shapes the work, not just your execution of it.
- Trend Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, emerging formats, editing techniques, and production tools — and bring relevant ideas back to the team.
- Asset Management: Maintain an organised and efficient system for video files, footage libraries, and project assets to support smooth team workflows.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in videography and editing, preferably within a marketing agency or content production environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end video production — from concept and shoot to final edit.
- Proficiency with professional camera systems, lighting setups, and audio equipment.
- Skilled in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or equivalent).
- A strong eye for composition, pacing, colour, and storytelling.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-moving team environment.
- Highly creative, detail-oriented, and organised.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Motion graphics or animation skills are a strong advantage.
